1. What We Collect

Account information. Name, email address, and business name when you sign up.

Route operational data. Snap-on FBS (Field Business System) and FMGR (Field Manager) export files you upload. This includes customer balances, stop histories, invoice records, and payment data as exported from Snap-on systems.

Activity data. Collections, promises, notes, and audit entries you log in the application.

Payment information. When you connect Stripe, we store your Stripe account ID. We do not store raw card numbers — Stripe handles all card data under their PCI-DSS compliance.

Contact inquiries. If you fill out our contact form, we collect your name, email, company, and message.

2. How We Use Your Data

  • Operate your account and provide the Route Balance service.
  • Generate daily AI briefings summarizing your route performance.
  • Send customer payment links via email (Stripe Checkout).
  • Detect anomalies, past-due patterns, and broken promises in your route data.
  • Improve the product — we may use aggregate, anonymized statistics about feature usage.

We do not use your operational data for third-party advertising, sell it to data brokers, or share it with Snap-on Tools Co. or any franchise entity.

3. What We Share

We share data only with the service providers necessary to operate Route Balance:

  • Stripe. Payment processing for subscriptions and customer payment links. Stripe stores payment method data under their PCI-DSS compliance. See stripe.com/privacy.
  • Supabase. Database and authentication hosting. Your data is stored in the United States (us-east-1). See supabase.com/privacy.
  • Anthropic. AI model provider for daily briefing generation. Only the text of your briefing prompts is sent — no raw customer PII is transmitted. See anthropic.com/privacy.
  • Sentry. Error monitoring. Stack traces may include request metadata but are scrubbed of payment data before transmission. See sentry.io/privacy.

4. Data Retention

We retain your account and route data for as long as your account is active. If you close your account, we will delete your personal data within 30 days, except where retention is required by law (e.g., financial records).

5. Your Rights

Depending on where you live, you may have the right to:

  • Access the personal data we hold about you.
  • Request correction of inaccurate data.
  • Request deletion of your data (subject to legal retention requirements).
  • Opt out of any marketing communications.

To exercise any of these rights, email [email protected]. We will respond within 30 days.

6. California Residents (CCPA)

California residents have the right to know what personal information we collect, the right to delete it, and the right to opt out of its sale. Route Balance does not sell personal information. To submit a request, email [email protected].

7. Security

Route Balance uses PostgreSQL Row Level Security to isolate tenant data, HTTPS for all data in transit, and Stripe for PCI-compliant payment handling. We monitor for anomalies via Sentry. No system is 100% secure — if you believe your account has been compromised, contact us immediately.

8. Changes to This Policy

We may update this policy. Material changes will be communicated via email or an in-app notice at least 14 days before they take effect. Continued use of Route Balance after that date constitutes acceptance.
